Techniques applied to predictive and advanced maintenance that enable Industry 4.0 will be the focal point of the keynote speeches at the IMIC – Industrial Maintenance Innovation Conference, the programme for which is practically closed. The contribution of intelligence to maintenance management is key, so IMIC will bring together the principles of anticipation, efficiency and effectiveness in order to analyse their advantages and constraints during the event held from 28 May to 1 June 2018.

The event has already confirmed the assistance of experts from leading entities and companies such as the Fraunhofer Institute from Germany, the International Measurement Confederation IMEKO, the Lulea University of Technology from Sweden, GE Automation & Controls from the USA, the VTT Technical Research Centre from Finland, the University of Lorraine from France, and companies such as Rolls Royce, ABB, Innovae, IK4 Ikerlan and Tekniker, Sisteplant, Tecnalia, Bahía de Bizkaia Gas –BBG and ITP Aero. The presence of a greater number of foreign speakers compared to the 2016 edition will provide a more comprehensive analysis on innovative maintenance aspects, which will also include debates on real case studies and problem solving thanks to the technical profile of the participants.

The first day will focus on the main topics in the maintenance sector from different technological dimensions of Industry 4.0 such as the “Internet of Things”, “Operator 4.0”, “Big Data Analysis and the New-know”, “Smartisation and condition monitoring”, “Cyber-security and risks” and “Cloud computing”, while the second day will be linked to the “Trends in Technical Support Service (TSS) and the relationship with users” and “Success stories of Maintenance 4.0”. “Servitisation”, understood as the development of competencies within companies to provide services and solutions to their customers, in addition to the specific product offered, is one of the concepts featured in the debate on the competitive evolution of the industry.

As with its first edition, IMIC will complete the conference space with an exhibition area and a networking area, where attendees can learn the latest technologies in products and services and meet some of the most influential people in the sector, both nationally and internationally. The 30th edition of BIEMH, the International Machine Tool Biennial Exhibition, will take place at the same time and bring thousands of companies and professionals related to advanced manufacturing at the highest level to the BEC.IMIC-Industrial Maintenance Innovation Conference is organised by EasyFairs and Bilbao Exhibition Centre.
